Job Summary:
As a Cloud Engineer at Avantus Solutions, you will be responsible for implementing and managing cloud-based systems tailored to meet client needs. This role involves a mix of technical expertise, strategic planning, and problem-solving to optimize cloud performance and ensure security across diverse platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud architectures to support business objectives.
- Manage and monitor cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) to ensure performance, availability, and security.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and threat monitoring.
- Optimize cloud costs and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends to drive continuous innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-7 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud security
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies.
- Familiarity with database management in cloud environments (e.g., RDS, BigQuery).
- Knowledge of serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
